Cement Truck

This was the scene this morning in front of my apartment, cement truck on it's side.
It rolled at about 6:25am, I was in the bedroom and heard a noise, my girlfriend
told me to look outside and see what happened. So I did, and what a surprise it was.
I hoped on the phone and called the cops so they can come check it out and make
sure everyone was ok. Everyone was ok but there was gas and cement leaking out all
over the place. They had to close the road both ways while they cleaned up. It took about
4 and a half hours to get it all cleaned up and open. Pretty good action to start off a
Monday. I've seen rolled over cars in my life, but never a cement truck. (click picture for larger picture

Last update March 28, where the hell have I been. No where really, just a part of my short attention span. I have all kinds of bookmarks in my bar in firefox. I only go to about half. But I shall try to update this thing a bit more.

For my link today, for thoes addicted to blog pics,
I have this site. It is the last 30 Pics uploaded to Livejornal. Sorry to blogger for promoteing another blogger site on theres, but that site preaty damn adicting.

I have taught myself to swim. Something finnaly clicked and I did it. Now i'm swiming, floating on my back, doing flips under water and handstands. Oh yeah, i'm living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Quite a change going from a town of 9,000 to one of
87,000. But theres so much more to do here, and later, everything don't close at
10pm. Another thing that busier is the police scanner down here. It's always going
but last night at about 3am it got silent, taught it died or got turned off.

Now for you input, what should I do this next weekend (13-14), go to Ruidoso and gamble, go to Albuquerque and gamble, go fishing somewhere around here. Go shopping in El Paso, or stay here till Monday and go to The Used consert. All comments are welcome and thank you in advance.

Los Lunas

Back from Los Lunas, New Mexico. It's about 30 miles south of Albuquerque. Each year they have a St. Patrick's Day
Balloon Rally. This is the 2ed year I have gone. There where more balloons than last year but less people. Probly because it was
windy as hell the day before. I also went to the casino, 2 times. The first time I lost $70, and it only took about 2 hours. 2ed night
I lost another $40, not too good of luck this time. My girlfriend had a crumpled old dollar bill. I put it in the machine, pulled the handle
and won $20. Went and cashed that ticket in and found another machine. Put in $5 and won $70.
Then I cashed out, put that ticket in my pocket and played with the $15 I still had from the last win.
Played all that and won another $42. Quite a turn of luck. Cashed those 2 in and got $122, $2 up.
On the way out I took those $2 and put them in a dollar machine, didn't win. So I broke even.
They way I look at it, 6 hours of entertainment for free, not bad. Plus the last time
I left $140 up.

Bearcat BCT8 ( My New Scanner)

This is my new police scanner.This will be the 3rd one i've baught. I have a BC350A (first one) and a BC80XLT (handheld). I'm buying the new one for one reason really, it has Trucktracker and where i'm moving in 5 moths they have a Trunked Radio System. Radio scanning is really a fun hobby to get into, i've been doing it for about 3 years now. You never know what's going to happen. Just last night at about mid-night they had a break in at the most powerful man in my town's house. Right after that they had a chase that got upto 150mph coming into town. Right now i'm sitting here waiting for the FedEx man/woman to drliver my new scanner. I HATE WAITING. I got 2 day shipping, I would have gotten next day but it was another $10, and $194 is enough for one thing. Some people may thing I'm crazy for spending $200 just so I can listen to the cops, but it's the hobby i've chosen. Some people spend $50 for a game that will be $20 in a few months just cus it's new. Some people are gunna pay $300 for the PSP. But thats there hobby. I'd rather know what the cops are doing next door or where that black smoke is coming from down the road. Scanners are even better than radar detectors, if you listen all day you know where the cops are pulling people over. Like just now I know there hitting downtown real good, yesterday they where by the college. One very cool thing about the new scanner is an alert that you can turn on. When your with-in 3 miles of a state police car, it goes off. Among other things it has it makes it well worth the $180, which befor it was $300. Sorry about the lack of update. I was kinda out of it, then became sick on Wednesday. It was awful. One of those where you have to lay flat on your back and stair at the ceiling. I tried sleeping on my side but up it came. It seamed to be worse than last time I was sick, which wasn't much fun either. I finally felt good enough to go to town and eat a burger from Sonic. I'm still not 100% but well enough. Right now I have a head ache, my neck is sore and i'm tired but can't seep. I've been up sense 2am, went to sleep at 10pm. but I did sleep many hours yesterday. As for what caused it, I think it was some lunch meat I ate. I ate it but my girlfriend didn't, she's showing no systems. That's what happened last time, but last time it was rolled tacos out of the microwave. Boy I picked a good day to go on a diet didn't I.

I'm also gunna try to add a feed of my Digs at Digg.com. It's a really good tech news site, among other
stories. I go there probably 10 times a day. They have user submitted stories, they get filed under different categories. If enough users "dig"
the story it gets put on the front page. I have yet to get a story on the front page, but that may change someday. So if your ever board and

Yet another monday is here again. Watched I, Robot last night, thats a good movie. It was better than I taught it was going to be. It has preaty good sound with DTS. DTS is I guess you could say the sister of Dolby Surround. But it uses a higher bitrate so it sounds so much better. Right now i'm just surfing the internet, just the same ol' sites in my bookmarks. If I find anything good I will let you know about it with this new Firefox plug in I found "blog this".

Wow it seams like forever sense I updated this Blog. Last time I tried to update it the web site was being slow and I lost my page and a half post.

It's raining today, like it has been for the last two days. There is a winter storm watch for above 7500 feet. I'm at 6,000 feet so no snow for me. I don't mind the rain but I wish it would take a break for a couple of hours so I can get some stuff done outside.

I got Sirius Satelight Radio for the truck. It's the best thing I have seen sense DVR (tivo). And if you are wondering which to get between XM and Sirius I would recommend Sitius. I have listened to XM on the internet and they just aren't as good as Sirius. And Sirius has the NFL which is good if you go on a road trip on a Sunday and can't watch.

Well I think that’s it for today, now I’m gunna copy this whole thing into Notepad incase this site doest the same thing.

Well the election is over and the people have spoken. I would like to thank the 52+ million people who voted for the better man, George W. Bush. I would also like to thank John Kerry for relizeing he lost and saying so. And not drawing this out like Gore did 4 years ago. It really takes a big man to admit that he lost in such a big race. I would also like to thank all the volenteers that helped out on the Bush Campain. I belive that we did make a difference in getting out the vote.

Now is the time, more than ever, to get behind the president. Show the rest of the world that we are unified and strong as a country. Show the terrorest like we did in the months after Sept. 11 that we are a country that is unified. We live in a different world and we need to relize this.

And as the president says, God bless you all and may God contenue to bless America.

Yaaay, two months till I turn 21 years old. So everyone send me an expensive gift.

Nov. 2ed is now 12 days away. Everyone get out and vote if you havn't already. It's your right. People in Afganastan realized the dream of being able to vote. Some grown men came to tears talking about voteing. We are so lucky in america that we have the right to choose and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And if you don't vote, you can't bitch. And please do make an informed vote, have your own openion.

And once you do inform your self about the two canidates, you will see Bush is the better man for the job. Just like most people across america have seen. Bush is leading a national poll by 8 points. I'm the last person to belive polls, but Bush has really taken off.

People see that Kerry will rase taxes by rolling back the Bush tax cuts. Kerry wants to make terrorisum just a "nussence" and not fight them over seas befor they get here. Kerry says he can get more countries behind us in the War, I.E. France and Germany. Both had said they will not join us, even if Kerry is prisident. Kerry said he will get drugs from Canada, many companies in Canada have already said, "we will not sell out drugs to america, it will make our prices go up".

Bush has created about 1.9 million jobs over the last year and a half, including 960,000 last month alone. Millions of americans got a tax cut from Bush, INCLUDING middle class americans. Like my parents, went from paying $3000 one year befor the tax cuts to getting back $5000 after.

Like befor, have your own openion, but lisen to both sides. I've lisened to both sides and I have voted for Bush. I just don't think Kerry can be a very good president.

Went and voted yesterday, bet you can guess who I voted for if you read my last post. Not the first time I have voted but the first time i've voted in a presidental election. 2ed debate tonight, I think i'm going to go watch with the college republicans.

Hello all,

Well I finnaly have my own web domain, www.andrew-m.com. Gunna host it through a local ISP Gilanet. Hope to have it up and running by next week. Also hope to get out and take more photos for the site. Got me a new tripod, had to travel over 100miles to fine one, but I got a good deal. It's just like my old one which I paid $40 for, got it for $25 this time around.

Still waiting on my proof sets to come in the mail. Won them on ebay, a 1983 and 1985 proof set. They should be preaty nice. Should be here today, should have been here on Monday, but what ya gunna do. As long as I get them (unlike my last one) i'm happy. But I did get my money back, but has to complain to paypal to do it. One thing that pissed me off was the seller stoped replying to my emails.

Hello All,

Just got done calling dishnetwork asking to be takeing off the call list for trying to sell me programing.....again. This is the 4th time i've done so, just don't seem to lisen to their coustomers at all. I also contacted the FCC, see what they have to say about this matter.

Ok enough bitching. Happy Friday to everyone, i'll be down at the local GOP HQ again tonight, helping out the cause of President Bush's re-election in Grant County. Also be at a phone bank on Saterday at my mom's old work, that should be fun seeing all her old bosses. Have over 500 republicans to call in one week, but they got it done last week.

Also went to a Rock the Vote thing by MTV at WNMU here in Silver. In my openion, and others too, the College Republicans had the best table there. We also got a few people to come to the meeting. If you go to college or are college age, see if there is a College Republicans there at your local college, it's real fun and you learn something about the President and other canadates in your area. Hello Everyone,

Another boring day yesterday. Did go down to the Grant County Republican Party HQ and put together Bush yard signs. Never knew how they went together, learn something new each day.

The rain from Javier was ok, wasn't as heavy as I taught it was going to be, got probly half an inch. It did snow in the mountains here, at about 8,000 feet.

I'm going to be starting up my website again, if I can just sit here and do all the HTML codes. I hate HTML, just pisses me off. But now I can put a donate by PayPal button, maybe some nice people out there will send me some money so I can get my own domain insted of having to use Geocities.

Today should be a preaty boring day, expecting rain form fomar hurricane Javier. National Weather Service just issued a Flash Flood Watch. I don't think that will pan out, hardly ever does.
